I have been a resident of Hometown Ironbark Aspley since 2017, serving on our HOC and was a member of the Executive Group which engaged with other Hometown Parks throughout Brisbane. In 2021 I also worked on the E-petition seeking Protection Amendments to The Manufactured Homes Residential Parks Act 2003 (MHRP).
I believe that the only way to change the MHRP is to engage with Members of the Queensland Parliament. They are the only people who can drive the necessary Legislative changes to the MHRP Act and ensure our chosen retirement lifestyle remains viable. It is my privilege to be a founding member of AMHO and in this new role of President will continue the fight for changes to the MHRP Act, moving the current bias towards the park owner back to a more equitable position for homeowners.
